STORM Soccer – Growing Success On the Pitch, On the Touchline, and In the Community.
On The Pitch
STORM Soccer strives to produce competitive soccer teams from U12 – U19. We are a member of the Alabama Soccer Association, as well as an affiliate with Hoover-Vestavia Soccer, which helps us provide proven pathways for players of all skill types – from developmental players who just love the game to bonafide talents who want to push to play at the MLS NEXT level and beyond. Coach Isamnia “Mooney” Cohen is the Storm FC Director of Coaching and Training. Coach Mooney has been capped for the Jamaican National team at the junior and senior levels, and played at the professional and semi-professional levels. Coach Mooney brings passion, experience, expertise, and a desire to provide incredible opportunities for athletes in our area.
On The Touchline
STORM Soccer wants athletes and coaches to grow in their skills and love for the game of soccer. That means developing coaches as well as players. Coach Mooney is currently developing training for coaches at all levels to help raise the level of the game. We are also committed to helping grow referees, who help make these games possible. Ensuring safe environments for athletes to develop their craft is vital to the sustainability of the game.
In The Community
STORM Soccer lives and works in the community. We want our young athletes to know that sport can help provide opportunities to travel the world, but that does not mean we learn to neglect home. As an Alabama Non-profit organization, Storm Soccer strives to be a valuable member of the community by volunteering to provide education and training to the local Parks and Recreation program in Anniston, Alabama. We want to partner with our community to help athletes find success on the pitch and in the community.
